At first you are told that they are only ‘changing the meter’. After they have taken the old meter, and put up a new one, they want you to sign on a piece of paper. But you are too clever to fall into their trap. So they left this piece of crap at your doorstep.
A few days later, you receive a letter saying that they have solid proof that the meter has been tempered with and now you owe them MYR 19,814.93. You go to TNB and tell them they must have made a mistake. But they tell you to pay.
So you go to Suruhanjaya Tenaga and complain to them that you have been framed. Let’s see how they twist your words into ‘menyeru pihak tuan supaya mengurangkan caj’.
Suruhanjaya Tenaga will tell you to ‘negotiate with TNB’. So you go to TNB and tell them again that they must have made a mistake. But they only want you to bayar or they cut your power.
And then they cut the power. You call Suruhanjaya Tenaga again. They tell you to rent a generator set from them. Fuck.

What the crap, ur clinic electric bill is not even 1/3 of my house bill. and i barely have a 1HP aircon running at night only. *faint*
ikzq : It’s not my clinic. How many hours do you run your aircond at night? Please check with TNB if your meter is spoilt and hence running too fast.
Well, TNB checked and found nothing. they changed the meter into a new one and still same result.
Aircon only running 8 hours per day. and only 1 aircon is being used. No matter how i calculate, it just doest seems right.
And wat can we consumer do? Nothing hahahaha.
i dont have time to go to attend court case with them.
ikzq : Maybe Streamyx is stealing your power through your telephone line. LOL! You can request TNB (or Suruhanjaya Tenaga?) to install a ‘check meter’ to run side-by-side with the existing one. Various factors will also increase power consumption like kettles, faulty fridge, aircond or blackhole generator etc.
Ohhhhhhhh cool, i didnt know they can do that. Coz last time i asked them to check, they juz said meter sudah lama. Kena Tukar.

anyway all my household equipment are new, coz i juz move in. But the house is 2nd hand and 15 years old. I roughly have the main suspect.

ikzq : Some old building may have faulty wiring resulting in ground leak… I think it means somewhere along the line, the life wire comes too close to the ground wire resulting in electricity leaking to the ground. I’m not really sure if that will make your electricity bill go up.
