I now know what had been draining too much power in a 4G6S, causing the motor and the circuit to overheat and melting the connectors.

It’s the bloody wooden replacement blades!

Being just 2 grams heavier than the stock foam blades (per pair), they still pose a significant load on the motor when spinning at almost 4,000 RPM!

The solution?

Epoxy glue.

These are the connectors from the ESC (electronic speed controller) to its motor.

Probably due to bad contact.

Self-strangulation… what an awesome concept.
