Oh dear, those memories…
Doc, do you happen to have a Casio FX-580 for sale?
Thanks
Ben-G
ahh.. memories. i have some of those books, you know. er… used to have. think few months ago, gave away the books.
i like one very old wordstar manual i used to have. the manual is so funny that each time i read it to learn how to use it, i will sure laugh. now, we should have authors of instruction manuals/guidebooks like those authors then learning would really be fun.
I recognised a lot of them, especially the Apple stuff. I even paid hundreds to buy the stupid WinDOZE 3.1 Secrets book when it came to Tawau. Those were the days.
Ben-G : Nope. Sorry. Even my Casio PB-dunno-what-number-with-two-RAMcard-slots’s LCD screen grew fungus liao. :(
lucia : Last I heard those Dummies series are quite funny too, or at least they are trying very hard to be funny. These days most guidebook authors don’t bother to add humour into their writings. It’s rather pointless when one threw in all the humour into one Windows XP Reference and the next morning, Bill Gates announces the next Windows Vista. And they had to sit down and think of new jokes all over again. I think they would rather chase deadlines than doing that.
Wombat : I gained access to a treasure trove and am building my museum. The Secrets series were very cheap as they were printed in India. India is well known for pirated/cheap books. ;)
Waaaaahhh……. .OLD MAN!!!!!
Me too!!! :(
harvard graphics… wordstar… haha those were the days
