She was discovered unconscious on a sandy riverbank with a shattered right leg. She was wheeled in on a stretcher. There was no identification card on her. We did, however, notice a patterned bruise on her neck.
The pattern on her neck was later verified to be identical to the rope found on the bridge. She was attempting suicide by hanging herself. The rope gave way as she was plunging.
Police snapped a photo of her and began questioning people in the neighbourhood. Nobody knows who she is.
She regained consciousness three days later but was unable to recall anything. She didn’t even know her name.
Maybe that’s a good thing. If she recalls, she might return to the same bridge. And she’ll bring a thicker rope next time.
