詐騙集團的猖獗,終於摧毀了人與人之間的基本信任。

別人撿到你的錢財,千方百計想歸還於你,你卻把人家的良心當狗肺。

但你也別要去怪人家 — 醫生,律師,教師,會計師都上了車;也難怪普羅大衆處處杯弓蛇影 — 見到銀幕上出現陌生的電話號碼,第一個印象就是詐騙集團:馬上拉響警報、敲起警鐘、矛頭向外。抑或選擇不回應,或馬上拉黑。

人工智能也插了一脚進來 — 爲了大衆的安全,自動檢測收到的訊息,自動把它們丟進垃圾箱,並把訊息來源拉黑。

我使用的網絡 — Maxis 其本身也難逃 Google 的智能過濾系統,直接把我付費後的通知丟進垃圾箱,也自動拉黑 Maxis。原因是:“Similar messages that you received were identified as spam.”

我那天要把手上的股票賣掉,發了數封短信給我的經紀人,都被對方認定我是 scammer — 被罵了數次,讓我哭笑不得。最後還是要我自動報上全名及用意,對方才讓我有機會澄清。

除了通訊錄上熟悉的電話號碼,其他的都要加以提防。

除了詐騙集團,濫用信任也讓親朋慼友之間也產生了一定的隔膜 — 尤其是那些一直要你買保險,入會買保健品的 — 煩之又煩。有錢的,丟下幾個臭錢敷衍敷衍,希望對方別再來煩自己。孰知隔天,對方又來介紹另一種直銷產品。感嘆百物漲價,揾食艱難啊!

此外,撥電話到各公司,對方也收緊了保安 — 一再以電腦系統來確認來電者的身份。除了要在電話鍵盤上輸入相關資料,還要報上身份證號碼,等待 OTP(一次性密碼),等。花了不少時間,最後卻被告知系統太過繁忙,等也不讓等,電話直接被挂斷,要重來一次,或數次。

這種經歷,無形中把電話綁死在我們身上 — 處理一些事情,必須通過手機 — 一機在手,天長地久;機不在手,魂都沒有。

這個社會,漸漸地缺乏了信任,也逐漸變得沒了意思。

    I also kena scammed during the start of COVID. The scammer displaced a number on my contact list only because he sounded similar to one of my friends, and also MCO = no meetups.

    TLDR of it was – be really careful whenever someone tells you to change/delete their phone number without proper confirmation.

    On the other hand, Digital ID seems to be the answer to establishing trust in digital communications. Albeit I haven’t really seen any success stories out of it – e.g. no popular app integrates with digital ID yet.

    Implementing digital ID is bad for anonymity ofc but imo it will be beneficial for certain interactions, i.e. having a verifiable footprint linked to a real ID (e.g. IC) is good, for example social media, online shopping, government services. There will less problems with fake accounts on socmed, or fake customers and merchants.
