Perforated Tympanic Membrane (part 1)

An old lady came to my clinic. With her mask on, she inquired as to whether I could recall seeing her in the past.

“Yes, but only vaguely,” I replied. I felt relieved that she was happy at my response.

She began to lay out the details of her predicament.

“I am not sure if you can understand me, but I’ll do my best to explain myself.”

It’s a sign that despite her best efforts to explain her situation, the people around her either didn’t get it or didn’t take her seriously.
